Position Overview
Offisavvy LLC is a rapidly expanding office services company based in San Diego, CA, is seeking a detail-oriented, strategic Controller to support our finance function and contribute to our continued growth and success. This role offers the opportunity to oversee key accounting operations, drive process improvements, and play a pivotal part in financial reporting and decision-making in a dynamic, collaborative environment, reporting directly to the CEO.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end close process, including preparation and review of accurate financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements) and variance analysis.
- Oversee and perform reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, general ledger accounts, and other balance sheet items; ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow processes to optimize working capital and ensure compliance with payment terms.
- Assist with payroll and related compliance.
- Conduct as needed and oversee AR, AP, and collections
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities in collaboration with leadership.
- Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard assets.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses, reports, and management insights to support business decisions.
- Coordinate with external accountants/auditors for tax filings, audits, and regulatory reporting.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance efficiency, and leverage technology (primarily QuickBooks Online).
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support operational goals and provide financial guidance.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is a plus.
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or senior accounting role (Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or equivalent).
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online (or similar ERP systems); strong Excel skills for financial modeling and analysis.
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP, financial statement preparation, internal controls, and month-end close processes.
- Proven ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills (verbal and written).
- High integrity with the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while working independently or collaboratively.
