POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Internal Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, daily sales and purchases, and preparing financial reports, while enhancing our company culture with a great attitude and inspirational work ethic.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the financial operations of the organization.
- Ensure that financial transactions, daily sales and purchases are accurately recorded and reconciled in a timely manner.
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures, creating an updated SOP for the position.
- Assist the CEO with quarterly estimates and annual tax preparation for both commercial and personal taxes.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure that financial data is accurate and up to date (such as the Purchasing and Receiving Department).
- Provide financial analysis and advice to management as needed.
- Prepare and manage the organization's budget.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Manage , oversee and enforce the organization's accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, collections, and reporting.
- Monitor and report on accounts receivable aging and collections.
- Work closely with sales and customer service departments to resolve any billing or payment issues.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure timely and accurate billing and collections.
- Provide financial advice to the CEO related to tax planning and tax strategies.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or related field.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Fluent in QuickBooks, Excel, and Office 360.
- Experience with financial reporting and analysis.
- Experience with accounting software and systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Working Conditions:
The Internal Accountant will work in an office environment and will be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. The candidate may be required to work occasional evenings and weekends to meet deadlines or attend meetings. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
