Position Overview: The Business Development Manager will be responsible for generating new
business opportunities and expanding our client base within the commercial facility services
sector. This role requires a proactive approach to outbound sales and relationship management,
with a focus on securing new contracts and maintaining strong client relationships. The ideal
candidate will have a proven track record in sales within the commercial cleaning or facility
services industry.
Key Responsibilities:
• Outbound Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective outbound sales strategies to
target potential clients in the commercial facility sector. Utilize cold calling, networking,
and other outreach methods to generate leads and set appointments.
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders in commercial facilities. Understand client needs, provide
tailored solutions, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and
industry trends. Analyze competitor offerings and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
• Sales Pipeline Management: Manage the sales pipeline from lead generation through to
contract negotiation and closing. Track sales activities, maintain accurate records, and
provide regular reports on sales performance and progress.
• Proposal Development: Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations to
potential clients. Demonstrate the value of our commercial cleaning services and address
any client concerns or objections.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the operations team to ensure seamless service
delivery and client onboarding. Collaborate with marketing to develop promotional
materials and campaigns.
• Client Retention: Develop strategies for retaining and upselling existing clients. Address
any issues or service concerns promptly to ensure ongoing client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development. Proven success
in outbound sales and relationship management.
• Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong ability to build and
maintain relationships with clients. Proficiency in sales CRM software and Microsoft
Office Suite.
• Knowledge: In-depth understanding of commercial cleaning services and facility
management. Familiarity with industry trends and best practices.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
• Attributes: Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently. Strong
organizational and time management skills.
