Qualifications:
Minimum Qualification Requirements:To qualify for this position, you must meet one of the qualification requirements described below.
Specialized Experience: To qualify for the GS-11, you must possess at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in the Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Applicants qualifying based on specialized experience must demonstrate experience in all of the following areas:
- Experience collecting, reviewing, validating, or reporting operational, administrative, financial, or programmatic information to support organizational activities or management decision-making.
- Experience developing or maintaining reports, spreadsheets, dashboards, correspondence, or other products used to support program operations.
- Experience using automated systems, databases, reporting tools, or business applications to enter, track, manage, analyze, or retrieve information.
- Experience coordinating program activities, projects, or administrative actions with managers, staff, or stakeholders to support organizational objectives.
OR
A. Successfully completed 3 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree, or a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or LL.M., if related to the position.
OR
B. Possess a combination of graduate education beyond the first two years of progressively higher-level graduate study and specialized experience that together meet the qualification requirements for this position.

Responsibilities:
This position is located within the Department of the Interior, U.S. Wildland Fire Service, Aviation Operations and Management Division, in Boise, Idaho or Anchorage, Alaska.At the full performance level (GS-11) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Conducts management and program analysis in support of aviation operations, aviation business programs, and related organizational activities.
- Collects, analyzes, validates, and reports operational, administrative, financial, and programmatic data from multiple information sources.
- Develops reports, dashboards, summaries, and other analytical products used to support management decision-making and program evaluation.
- Provides analytical and technical support for automated systems, databases, reporting tools, and information management processes.
- Evaluates administrative and operational processes and recommends improvements to program effectiveness, efficiency, and data quality.
- Supports budget, procurement, records management, project tracking, and other administrative program functions.
- Coordinates with managers, staff, contractors, and interagency partners to support aviation program objectives and organizational priorities.
Salary Range Information (Per Annum):
Boise, Idaho
GS-11: $74,678 (step 1) - $97,087 (step 10) per year.
Anchorage, Alaska
GS-11: $84,439 (step 1) - $109,777 (step 10) per year.
First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the lower salary range of the grade level. This vacancy may be used to fill additional positions as vacancies become available.
