Duties Description
This position may Supervise two or more Office Assistants 1 or other lower-level staff; or directly perform the more difficult or complicated clerical processing and office support work for which substantive knowledge of the program area is required; or do both. Assignment can encompass a wide range of office support and clerical activities.
The Office Assistant 2 administers and supports agency payroll operations by processing payroll transactions, maintaining employee payroll records, and ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. Reviews and enters payroll-related data, responds to employee inquiries, verifies payroll information, prepares reports, resolves payroll issues, and supports compliance with payroll policies, procedures, and applicable regulations while providing customer service and administrative support.
