Qualifications:
Requirements Continued...- You will be required to wear a uniform and comply with the National Park Service uniform standards. A uniform allowance will be provided.
- You may be required to work on-call, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime and shift work.
- Government Charge Card: You may be required to complete training and obtain/maintain a government charge card with travel and/or purchase authority.
- You will be considered emergency/essential personnel.
- You must be capable of lifting 50 or more pounds.
- Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision (SCREEN OUT)
- Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (Includes Blueprint Reading)
- Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment

Responsibilities:
The major duties of the position Gardener include, but are not limited to, the following:- Provide proper care and maintenance for lawns, flowers, shrubs, and trees.
- Prunes and trims trees and shrubs to obtain the shape, size and desired growth characteristics, and to
remove diseased limbs or excess branches. - Computes quantities of plants, seeds, and other materials needed for specific areas.
- Cuts grass and trims hedges using either hand or power equipment.
