The Department of Energy (DOE) is seeking an experienced, innovative Executive to lead the Office of Project Management to improve the Department's management of capital asset projects. The Office of Project Management is part of the Office of Management (MA); DOE's central management organization, responsible for leadership in critical areas such as project and acquisition management. Manages the DOE's Headquarters complex and provides administrative support to Washington, D.C. employees.

EXECUTIVE CORE QUALIFICATIONS (ECQs): In addition to the Technical Qualification Requirements listed above, all new entrants into the Senior Executive Service (SES) under a career appointment will be assessed for executive competency against the following five mandatory ECQs. Responsibilities:
As the Director, Office of Project Management, you will,- Strategically directs and oversees project management policy and implementation across the Department of Energy, establishing systems and internal control standards for effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity, and framing long-term organizational objectives.
- Leads as the Executive Secretariat for both the Energy Systems Acquisition Advisory Board (ESAAB) and the Project Management Risk Committee (PMRC), advising the Director, Office of Management, and senior executives on critical decisions for capital asset projects exceeding $100 million in total project cost.
- Manages and guides inter- and intra-organizational teams in conducting comprehensive analyses, studies, and development efforts to optimize DOE's project management systems, integrating corporate management priorities and enhancing operational effectiveness.
