Office of Human Development in Sidney, NE, provides support to people with developmental disabilities in their home and community environments. We assist and teach skills needed to be able to be successful in any environment. We are a professional family friendly teaching agency that focuses on advocating and enhancing the Developmental Disability population.
We are looking for reliable, friendly and self motivated people to assist with helping people with developmental disabilities to live in their home and community. We do a variety of life skills, cooking cleaning, recreational outing and personal care.
Responsibilities
- This position is for evenings, nights and weekends.
- Provide compassionate caregiving and support to individuals in a group home setting.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in living spaces to ensure a safe environment.
- Observe and report changes in residents' conditions to healthcare professionals.
- Engage residents in social activities to promote well-being and community involvement.
- Administer first aid as needed and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in caregiving and patient care
- Knowledge of first aid and emergency response techniques
- Familiarity with group home settings and assisted living environments
- Ability to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
