Nature of Work
Under close supervision, perform full performance level clerical/reception duties in the PutnamCountyDoHS office which involves face to face contact with walk-in clients. Will serve as part of a team in the clerical unit which serves as receptionist, switchboard operator, file clerk and mail processor. Will complete a variety of clerical duties including greeting visitors, determine reason for visit and direct them or enter them into the electronic system to see a case worker, answer switchboard and direct calls/take messages, process incoming and outgoing mail, make copies of department literature and set up/maintain files. Will assist and serve as the back up to the Imaging Operator when needed to scan documents into the correct client cases. Tasks are confidential and time sensitive in nature. Other related duties as assigned. Good attendance, communication skills and professionalism are required.

Minimum Qualifications:
Training: Graduation from a standard high school or the equivalent.
Experience: Two years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in routine office work.
