Qualifications:

- Preparing and disseminating informational materials for organizational communications.
- Preparing routine and adhoc data reports related to budget, finance, workforce management, procurement, logistics and/or property management.
- Assisting with timekeeping, attendance tracking, and routine workforce management tasks.
- Assisting with the preparation of purchase orders and supporting documentation for routine procurements.
- Assisting with onboarding and training activities for new employees.

Responsibilities:
This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Field Operations. The purpose of the position is to provide substantive administrative support to the managers and staff of the assigned organization. The incumbent performs a variety of general clerical duties in support of various specialty areas within the organization.This position starts at a salary of $48,361.00 (GS-6, Step 1) to $69,864.00 (GS-7, Step 10)
Major duties for the position include:
- Acting as a liaison between the organization and the CBP Hiring Center and Processing Center, assisting with onboarding, and preparing, following, and assisting with changes in protocols.
- Providing assistance to higher graded Missions Support Specialist with various workforce management procedures, entering personnel actions in appropriate automated systems, assuring they are appropriate and complete, and resolves discrepancies with the appropriate party.
- Assisting with monitoring performance management compliance, developing individual training plans as required, researching training opportunities to fit specific, needs and assisting in arranging in house training sessions.
- Maintaining the organization's personnel files and records, compiling various recurring ad hoc reports, and maintaining current vacancy and onboarding data and table of organization.
- Advising management of payroll changes and works to resolve payroll problems with the national payroll staff.
