What are the responsibilities and job description for the STAFF SERVICES MANAGER I position at Office of Energy Infrastructure Safety?
This position is a 12-month Limited-Term position that may be extended and/or become permanent.
Under direction of the Human Resources Manager (SSM II), the HR Supervisor oversees, plans, organizes, and supervises the personnel and programs in the HR Unit that includes transactions, onboarding, payroll, position control, labor, return-to-work, worker’s compensation, and disability benefits.
This position is remote-centered and is eligible for telework up to 3 days a week, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. A teleworker is considered remote-centered if they work fifty percent or more of their time from an alternate work location. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

Working Conditions
This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code. The position is responsible for making or participating in the making of governmental decisions that may potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests. The appointee is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment.
