Congressman John Sarbanes seeks a Constituent Service Representative to help constituents access benefits and navigate programs provided by various Federal agencies. This staff member will be based in the Congressman’s Columbia District Office with a possibility for hybrid remote work. Responsibilities include making formal inquiries on behalf of constituents, managing constituent requests to ensure timely communication, and reporting any observed trends to the Member and Senior Staff.
Ideal candidates are enthusiastic problem solvers with strong interpersonal skills who have a genuine interest in helping people. This position requires proactive follow-up so organization and attention to detail is crucial. Experience in social work/case management as well as working with federal, state, or local entities which provide social services is preferable.
The portfolio of responsibility may include topics such as Immigration, Social Security, and Medicare. Occasional community outreach may be required.
