What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Clerk position at Office Master, Inc.?
OM Seating is a vibrant, warm, design-forward manufacturer of office seating. As part of OM Seating Shipping team, our Shipping Clerk is responsible for carrying out several clerical functions of the Shipping department. The individual under this role will support our Shipping team with performing efficiently in a warehouse and dispatch environment by handling outgoing and incoming deliveries.

Under this role you will:
- Prepare shipping documents (bills of lading, packing lists, shipping labels, etc.)
- Verify the accuracy of outgoing shipments (item numbers, quantities, condition)
- Match packing list against purchase orders
- Coordinate with carriers for pickups and deliveries
- Receive parcels and disperse them to the appropriate parties
- Assist the shipping office when daily tasks are complete
- Ensure clear task progress communication to appropriate departments
- Sign for, and gather all fabric rolls delivered
- Inspect rolls for obvious flaws or issues
- Add fabric sample to required paperwork
- Inventory management:
- Put all fabric rolls away in their designated area
- Take images of rolls and send to the team
- Fill out Excel/Visual with all fabric information
- Purge Excel and fabric area at EOM
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements
- High school diploma, or relevant experience,
- 2-3 years relevant experience (experience in a warehouse or shipping/receiving environment preferred),
- Familiarity with FedEx, UPS, and other carrier systems
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, inventory software, email)
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods
- Good written & verbal communication skills
- Forklift certification (a plus, but not required)

- Job Type: Full Time (40 hours a week)
- One location: Ontario, CA
- Typical workday: 8:30a to 5:00p, M-F
- Pay Rate $17.00 – $18.00 Compensation may vary commensurate with experience.
