What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Furniture Delivery and Installation position at Office Furniture Warehouse?
Office Furniture Warehouse in Tupelo, MS is seeking a couple of new members to add to our delivery and installation team. We are a local, family owned small business that provides new and used office furniture solutions for customers throughout the Mid-South. This is a full-time opportunity, with regular Monday-Friday 9:00a-5:00p hours, that regularly includes overtime hours where our crew comes in early and also works late. Occasional and rare out of town and overnight travel is also a possibility. Hourly pay for first year employees will range from $16.00-$18.00 per hour and experience in this industry previously can make a difference in that. Drivers and Installers are eligible for a Quarterly Bonus that usually ranges from $500-800 per Driver/Installer and Drivers/Installers do collect Tips on occasion on each job site. Below are some additional details and requirements:
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Ability to pass a drug screening test
- Ability to pass a background check
- Be able to work after hours in the evening as it is somewhat common for our delivery crews to get back sometimes at 6:00 or 7:00 pm.
- Capability to drive a truck and trailer, as well as back a truck and trailer is a plus (Regular 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton style truck, NOT tractor trailer style big rig)
- General knowledge of tools as a majority of these office furniture items are assembled with use of power drills, etc., at our facility before being loaded for delivery to customers location
- Able to routinely lift 50-100 lbs.
- Punch list execution; Given a build sheet and be able to learn and understand SKU numbers, able to pull, build, and fulfill customers order, load and arrange on delivery truck, etc.,
- Able to work as a team member as our crews are 2 or 3 member teams
- Superior Customer Service; Able to represent the name and Company Logo on your shirt, as well as represent yourself in a presentable and respectable manner
