Commercial Project Installation Manager
Location: St .Louis, Missouri
Department: Furniture Division
Reports To: Furniture Operations Manager
Travel: Frequent local travel. Occasional regional travel may be required.

Our Commercial Installation Manager plays a critical leadership role in bringing those spaces to life. This position leads our installation team while managing the successful execution of commercial furniture projects from planning through completion. Working closely with Sales, Design, Project Management, Operations, and our customers, you'll ensure every project is delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and with an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, coach, and develop commercial furniture installation crews.
- Schedule labor and allocate resources across multiple concurrent projects.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and safety.
- Conduct field observations, provide coaching, and mentor installers to support continuous improvement.
Project Management
- Plan and coordinate commercial furniture installations from project kickoff through completion.
- Partner with Sales, Design, Warehouse, and Project Management to ensure projects are installation-ready.
- Review drawings, layouts, and specifications to ensure successful field execution.
- Proactively identify challenges and communicate solutions before they impact customers, schedules, or project outcomes.
- Manage project documentation, punch lists, change orders, and project closeout.
Customer Experience & Communication
- Serve as the primary field leader during installations.
- Build confidence through proactive communication with customers, contractors, and internal teams.
- Resolve jobsite issues professionally while protecting the customer relationship.
- Represent Office Essentials with professionalism on every project.
Quality, Safety & Operations
- Ensure installations meet manufacturer specifications and Office Essentials quality standards.
- Maintain OSHA compliance and promote a safe work environment.
- Oversee company vehicles, tools, equipment, and jobsite readiness.
- Monitor labor efficiency and support continuous process improvement.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of commercial furniture installation leadership or related construction/project management experience.
- Experience leading installation teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to read architectural drawings, furniture plans, and construction documents.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools and commercial installation equipment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or box truck experience is a strong plus.
- Physical ability to work in commercial installation environments, including frequent lifting, moving, and positioning of furniture and equipment.
- Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of commercial installation work while maintaining a safe jobsite for customers and teammates.
