Position Summary
Responsibleto insuresafe execution of predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance. Candidate must have maintenance mechanic/technician/electricalexperience inamanufacturing and/or food processing plant.
The ideal candidate will have the following education and experience:
- 2 yearspreviousmaintenance experience
- Bilingual (conversational)
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English
- Basic math knowledge
- Ability to work independently and multitask
- Reading and understanding ofsafety data sheets
- Teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work in a changing environment
- Ability to handlehigh levelsof stress to keep the plant and field equipment running
- Ability to perform standard electrical repairs and troubleshooting on all types of equipment
- Ability to perform standard mechanicalfunctions, including changing oil, bearings, etc. on all types of equipment
- Perform departmenthousekeeping duties
- Paperwork necessary for department
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Flexible for all shifts; understand and follow instructions
- Maintenanceand electricalexperience in a manufacturing environment
- Manufacturing and/or food and beverage industry experience a requirement
- Electrical experience (AC/DC; 480v; 240V; 120V (required))
- Programming Logic Controllers (PLC)(Allen Bradley) experience a plus
- PLCtroubleshooting experience (required)
- Ability to weld and use welding equipment safely (required)
- Ability to cut with a torch (required)
- Familiar with OSHA safety regulations (required)
- Experience with a plasma cutter (required)
- Experience with power tools (required)
- Some pipefitting experience (required)
- Lubrication
- Visual inspections
- Ability to read mechanical/electrical schematics
- Conduct anyspecial task as required by supervisor
- Be able to lift 50lbsconsistently throughout the day
- General electrical, gas control and basic mechanical experience needed
- Must be able to pass the standard Forklift Driver written & driving exams
