Senior Manager, Remote Account Management

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced sales leadership professional to lead a high-performing Remote Account Management team supporting specialist healthcare providers across the Eastern United States.
This is a strategic leadership role responsible for managing, developing, and motivating a team of Remote Account Managers who act as trusted advisors to independent specialty clinics. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving sales performance, customer retention, operational excellence, and strategic growth initiatives while collaborating closely with field sales and cross-functional business teams.
The role would suit an experienced sales manager with a strong background in account management, team leadership, and healthcare or pharmaceutical sales environments.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading, coaching, and developing a team of 9–11 Remote Account Managers responsible for managing healthcare provider relationships across multiple territories
• Driving achievement of revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction objectives
• Recruiting, onboarding, training, and performance managing team members
• Partnering with field sales teams to deliver a seamless customer experience and coordinated account strategy
• Identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives to enhance team effectiveness and operational performance
• Working closely with operations, finance, credit, and commercial teams to resolve issues and maximise customer outcomes
• Analysing sales performance data and presenting insights and recommendations to senior leadership
• Leading strategic business initiatives and supporting organisational growth objectives
• Managing escalated customer situations and ensuring a high standard of service delivery
Candidates should demonstrate:
• Significant experience in sales, account management, or business development leadership roles
• Proven experience coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams
• Strong commercial acumen and a track record of delivering sales and operational targets
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Experience operating successfully within fast-paced, metrics-driven environments
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills
Experience within healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical products, or healthcare services environments would be highly advantageous, as would previous experience managing remote sales teams.
Knowledge of CRM platforms such as Salesforce and experience driving cross-functional process improvement initiatives would also be beneficial.
