We are seeking energetic, professional, and customer-focused Tour Guides to deliver exceptional experiences while ensuring guest safety and creating lifelong memories.
Position OverviewAs a Tour Guide, you will lead and assist guests on a variety of outdoor adventures including UTV tours, kayak trips, van tours, fly-fishing excursions, and snowmobile experiences. This role requires strong communication skills, a passion for the outdoors, and the ability to provide outstanding customer service while maintaining safety standards in remote environments.
No two days are the same. Guides may lead guests through Yellowstone's geothermal features in the morning, conduct a wildlife tour in Grand Teton in the afternoon, or assist with equipment rentals and guest operations throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities- Lead safe, educational, and engaging outdoor adventures.
- Conduct UTV/Side-by-Side tours and rental orientations.
- Guide kayaking excursions on rivers and lakes throughout the region.
- Operate and assist with wildlife, scenic, and Yellowstone van tours.
- Support fly-fishing and snowmobile experiences as needed.
- Provide guests with information about local history, wildlife, geology, and outdoor recreation.
- Perform safety briefings and ensure guests understand operating procedures.
- Inspect, clean, and maintain equipment, vehicles, and gear.
- Assist with guest check-in, reservations, and trip preparation.
- Respond professionally to changing weather, trail conditions, and guest needs.
- Capture and share memorable guest experiences while representing the company professionally.
- Uphold company safety standards and risk management procedures at all times.
- Passion for outdoor recreation and adventure tourism.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable speaking to groups and leading guests from diverse backgrounds.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to safely operate or learn to operate UTVs, trailers, vans, boats, and snowmobiles.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience in guiding, outdoor recreation, hospitality, tourism, fishing, boating, or customer service is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Walk, hike, paddle, and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to safely assist guests entering and exiting vehicles and watercraft.
