Responsibilities
- Oversee Receiving, Warehousing, Shipping, Inventory Control, Repack Operations, and Internal Logistics to ensure efficient material flow and on-time support of manufacturing operations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts and physical inventories, ensure FIFO compliance, and monitor material movements between sites using SAP WM/IM.
- Maintain organized warehouse and storage locations, promote 5S principles, participate in audits, and support productivity and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Verify all shipments meet customer-specific requirements, packaging standards, labeling requirements, and IATF 16949 quality standards; support corrective actions and 8D investigations when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with ESH policies, OSHA, DOT, and Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) requirements, including equipment maintenance, operator certifications, and transportation regulations.
- Supervise supply chain team members, conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching and corrective action, support recruiting efforts, and facilitate regular team communication and training.
- Manage departmental training programs and training matrix requirements to ensure employees are properly qualified and compliant with company and regulatory standards.
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5 years of logistics experience.
- 3 or more years in a leadership position with functional and disciplinary responsibility for other individuals.
- Advanced level of analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced level of Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of ESH, DOT, OSHA requirements.
- Knowledge of quality standards, ISO and IATF 16949 requirements.
- Knowledge of SAP for Operations, Cycle Counting and Report Analysis preferred.
