Duties And Responsibilities
The Regional Equipment Specialist – Central will play a key role in supporting equipment utilization, team collaboration, and operational efficiency across multiple branches. This role focuses on contributing to rental performance, promoting safe and reliable equipment practices, and assisting with business operations and customer service efforts. Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following:
Fleet And Equipment Support
- Assist in monitoring and improving equipment utilization and fleet readiness.
- Support maintenance planning, safety compliance, and fleet right-sizing efforts.
- Use rental and fleet software platforms to track performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Help ensure compliance with EHSP and regulatory standards (FMCSA, OSHA, DOT, ANSI, etc.).
- Support branch teams in building strong customer and vendor relationships.
- Promote consistent service practices to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure reliable equipment solutions are delivered.
- Contribute to planning efforts aimed at improving rental revenue, margins, and cost control.
- Assist in coordinating operational activities across branches to align with company goals.
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives that support regional growth and efficiency.
- Help gather and share data related to KPIs and rental performance metrics.
- Engage in market growth activities including business expansion, real estate planning, staffing, fleet planning, and financial oversight.
- Support financial tracking related to asset ROI and rental performance.
- Assist with budgeting, procurement processes, and maintenance planning.
- Help monitor rental schedules and equipment life cycles.
- Contribute to the development of rental-focused teams through active support and coordination.
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and team-building activities.
- Provide input and encouragement to help strengthen team knowledge and skills.
- Maintain a consistent presence across branches to foster collaboration and communication.
- Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills.
- Effective problem-solving and communication abilities.
- Familiar with P2P systems (e.g. Coupa) and equipment rental software (e.g. RentalMan) preferred.
- Proficiency in technology-based applications – Microsoft Office suite and other industry support data applications.
- BA or BS degree in Construction or related field of study preferred.
- 5 years of experience in equipment rentals, logistics, or warehouse operations.
- Understanding of equipment procurement, rental cycles, and maintenance planning.
- Occasional travel across regional branches.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
