Legal Assistant / Paralegal

Boutique law firm seeks a detail-oriented Legal Assistant or Paralegal to support attorneys in a fast-paced practice. This role is ideal for someone organized, tech-comfortable, and interested in working directly with clients, courts, and state agencies.
What We’re Looking For
- Prior law firm experience is preferred
- Familiarity with pleadings, discovery, and filings is a plus
- Knowledge of Florida civil procedure preferred
- Strong organization, communication, and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines independently
What You’ll Do
- Communicate directly with clients via phone and email
- Assist with drafting legal documents and preparing exhibits
- Keep case files organized and up to date
- Submit filings through court and agency portals. File through Florida E-Filing Portal, DOAH, and state agency systems
- Coordinate scheduling, calendars, and occasional travel
- Use common legal and office software (Microsoft Office, Smokeball, Westlaw)
- Assist with legal, public records, and regulatory research
- Support environmental, regulatory, and business-related matters as needed
