What are the responsibilities and job description for the OEM Sales Manager position at OEM Sales Company?
Specific Industry Experience (Preferred):
- Prior experience with automotives (Vans, Bus & Trucks) and a true interest in mechanics is desirable.
- Experience working with Bus and/or Trucks OEMs is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Bus and/or Trucks OEM purchasing models and Municipality relationship models.
- Automotive heavy truck. Vehicles include ambulances, fire trucks, waste collection vehicles, shuttle
- buses, transit vehicles, and school buses, class 5-8.
Key Responsibilities
● Establish and Maintain direct relationships by promoting the company's electro-magnetic braking solutions.
● Increase revenue through targeted sales and customer relationship efforts.
● Manage a large sales territory and marketing events, such as trade shows.
● Determine long- and short-term sales goals and provide on-time reporting.
● Develop prospects, new business opportunities/markets, and relationships with industry professionals.
● Manage and expand the company's dealer network, which is essential in the tri-party sales approach (end users/ prescribers and dealers / clients).
● Maintain awareness of the competitive landscape in the region.
● Manage procurement tenders and requesting quotations for municipalities.
● Work closely with the technical team to ensure customer satisfaction.
● Resolve customer grievances and service issues.
● Manager of specified sales region with direct report to the General Manager of Sales.
Required/Preferred Qualifications:
● Five years of sales experience.
● Education: Bachelor's Degree.
● Ability and willingness to travel by plane and driving, domestic/international (travel is 50% of the time).
● Tenacity in a long sales cycle environment across the US and Canada.
● Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
● Ability to multitask with a true 360∘ end-to-end sales process approach, from identifying new prospects and managing tenders through to contract signature and regular client visits.
