Job Overview
Sushi Helper – No Experience Required
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and motivated Sushi Helper to join our team. Applicants with or without previous experience are welcome to apply. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, garnishing, and assembling sushi items according to established standards.
- Assist the sushi chef with daily food preparation and kitchen duties.
- Maintain cleanliness of the sushi bar and kitchen area, including regularly cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, utensils, and equipment.
- Handle and lift supplies, ingredients, and other materials safely and efficiently.
- Follow all food handling, sanitation, and safety regulations to maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety.
- Assist with basic food service duties, including restocking supplies and ingredients.
- Help manage and organize inventory and notify the team when supplies are running low.
- Assist with food presentation and ensure sushi items are prepared and presented according to established standards.
- Keep work areas organized, clean, and ready for service.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and assist other team members as needed.
- Perform other duties related to sushi preparation and kitchen operations as assigned.
Qualifications
- No previous sushi or kitchen experience required; training will be provided.
- Previous restaurant, kitchen, or food service experience is a plus.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Able to work well with others as part of a team.
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting supplies and ingredients.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Commitment to cleanliness, food safety, and quality.
