Position Summary:
The Special Education Paraprofessional provides support and interventions for students with academic, social, emotional, and/or behavioral needs. Primary duties include supporting emotional regulation and successful participation in the classroom. Candidates will collect data and work in collaboration with classroom teachers to develop appropriate strategies to promote student success.
Position Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and experience working with students. Associate/Technical degree preferred.
Other Skills & Abilities:
- Maintain flexibility as a team member supporting staff and students.
- Maintain the confidentiality of all information regarding students.
- Perform duties within a daily schedule and with an awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
- Consistent and reliable attendance is required.
Schedule:
5 days per week / 6.5 hours per day / 8 am -3 pm
Rate of Pay:
B-2-1: $20.54 - $24.42/hour depending on experience.
