What are the responsibilities and job description for the MBSE Systems Engineer position at Odyssey Systems Consulting Group, Ltd.?
The Missile Defense Agency's Program Director for Targets and Countermeasures oversees the design, development, manufacture, integration, and delivery of threat-representative, reliable, and cost-effective ballistic missile targets and countermeasures for the missile defense system. These targets are utilized to test, verify and validate performance of the missile defense system. The program also executes pre- and post-test data reduction and identifies target characterization activities necessary to support the Missile Defense Agency's test objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as designer for implementation of the Government Reference Architecture MBSE solution across the Targets Program office
- Author process documents, develop template frameworks, and construct metric reporting methods to facilitate the execution of the MBSE solution to existing and future programs
- Use requirements analysis to create and maintain the (GRA) in Cameo
- Perform and lead systems engineering duties to elicit stakeholder requirements and mission needs
- Perform functional analysis using Model-based Systems Engineering techniques and tools
- Define requirements, perform functional analysis using Model-based Systems Engineering techniques and tools
- Assist in requirements development and management
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Experience with Cameo Systems Modeler
- Knowledge of Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE), preferably with direct experience working DoD Systems
- Ability to train others on MBSE concepts and tools
- Experience with languages used for architecture modeling (i.e. DoD Architecture Framework and (Unified Architecture Framework (UAF))
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with MDA programs and processes
- Experience with missiles, targets, missile defense systems or hypersonic weapons
- Hands-on experience with integrated requirements tools, such as DOORs NG
- Exposure to MDA test events and activities
