Pre-ETS Instructor

Job Description:

Odyssey Services Corp is seeking a professional Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS)

Provider/Instructor to support transition-age students with disabilities throughout Northern Arizona. The provider will deliver individual and group instruction that helps students explore careers, build workplace readiness skills, strengthen self-advocacy, participate in work-based learning experiences, and prepare for postsecondary education or training. The provider will also support outreach and relationship-building with schools and community partners as the Pre-ETS program expands throughout Yavapai and Coconino Counties.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below:

• Provide individual and group Pre-ETS services to transition-age students with disabilities.
• Deliver Job Exploration Counseling, Workplace Readiness Training, Self-Advocacy Instruction, Work-Based Learning Experiences, and Postsecondary Education Counseling.
• Prepare and facilitate engaging lessons, workshops, and skill-building activities in school and community settings.
• Support students with career exploration, goal setting, employment preparation, workplace behavior, communication, and independent skill development.
• Coordinate scheduling with students, families, schools, and Odyssey staff as needed.
• Complete required electronic documentation, service notes, and reports accurately and within established timelines.
• Maintain consistent communication regarding student participation, progress, scheduling, barriers, and service needs.
• Participate in outreach to schools and community organizations to help develop and maintain Pre-ETS partnerships throughout Northern Arizona.
• Independently manage scheduling, travel, documentation, and assigned service responsibilities.
• Travel throughout Yavapai and Coconino Counties based on student referrals and program needs.
• Maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and compliance with Odyssey Services Corp. and AZDES requirements.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED BY THE JOB

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required to perform the job.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, Education, or a related field, plus at least 3 years of full-time experience working with individuals with disabilities; OR
• High school diploma or GED plus at least 7 years of full-time experience directly working with individuals with disabilities, preferably within vocational rehabilitation or a related field.

Skills:

• Experience working with youth or transition-age students with disabilities is preferred.
• Experience teaching, mentoring, facilitating groups, workshops, or individual skill-building sessions is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to manage multiple students, schedules, service locations, and documentation requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google platforms, and electronic reporting systems, with the ability to learn new software.
• Ability to build professional relationships with schools, families, community partners, and agency staff.

Working Conditions:

• This is a part-time 1099 independent contractor position. Hours are based on student referrals, school schedules, authorizations, and program needs and are not guaranteed.
• Expected availability is approximately 10-12 hours per week; hours may fluctuate throughout the school year.
• Most services occur during weekday/daytime school hours.
• Regular travel throughout Yavapai and Coconino Counties is required. Reliable transportation is required.
• A travel stipend may be available depending on provider location, mileage, distance, and assigned service locations.
• The provider must have access to a computer with Microsoft Office Word and reliable communication.
• A Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card, or the ability to obtain one, and completion of required background screening and E-Verify are required.

Physical Requirements:

• Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. The position may require standing, walking, sitting, and traveling between school and community locations.

Pay: From $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 12.0 per week

Experience:
