We are seeking a reliable and hard working Warehouse associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining efficient warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping receiving task. The position may also require the candidate to operate a box truck for local deliveries, so a clean drivers record is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warehouse Operations:
- Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming shipments.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment in an accurate and timely manner.
- Maintain proper stock levels and perform regular inventory checks.
- Ensure the warehouse is organized, clean, and safe, following company procedures and safety standards.
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries, and ensure items are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Box Truck Driving (if required):
- Drive a box truck to transport goods to customers, vendors, or other company locations.
- Ensure timely and accurate deliveries and pickups, following assigned routes and schedules.
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle.
- Ensure all necessary documentation for deliveries is completed accurately.
- Other Duties:
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed.
- Work collaboratively with team members and management to achieve department goals.
- Assist in the maintenance and organization of warehouse tools and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
- Experience driving box trucks (or similar vehicles) and knowledge of local roads is a plus.
- Purchasing expereince is a plus
- Forklift certification is a plus but not required (training will be provided).
- Skills and Attributes:
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform other physically demanding tasks.
- Requirements:
- A clean driving record with a valid driver's license (required for box truck driving).
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screening.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required, depending on operational needs.
