Service Electrician

Overall

The Electrical Division of Odyssey Mechanical has immediate openings for qualified candidates with electrical experience who are motivated to learn and grow their skills as service technicians. Responsibilities

· Understand electrical systems and general troubleshooting

· Ability to complete smaller jobs on your own, and assist on complex jobs

· Maintain the Odyssey reputation for outstanding customer service

· Take seriously the responsibility of being in a customer’s home

· Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn

· Regularly and consistently communicate with customers and with the Service Manager

· Use established pricing guide to build estimates for customers

· Identify electrical problems and safety hazards

· Install, repair, and/or replace electrical components, devices, lighting and lighting controls, fans, fixtures, breakers, switches, receptacles, panels and more

· Correctly identify and list all electrical materials needed to complete a job

· Safely use hand tools and company-provided power tools

· General knowledge of electrical code (NEC) and willingness to seek clarifications

Qualifications

· Required: High School diploma or GED.

· Required: Minimum of 3 years electrical experience.

· Required: Valid driver's license.

· Required: Ability to read and comprehend written (English) material.

· Preferred: Completion of apprentice program or other technical program.

· Required: Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.

Working Conditions: Field environment, in customer’s homes and businesses.

Work Days & Shift Schedule: Day shift,Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm. Weeknight and weekend on-call schedule.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
