Summary:
The Vice President of IT is responsible for leading all IT functions within a specific business unit in a decentralized IT environment. This role ensures that technological initiatives align with the business unit’s strategic objectives while maintaining compliance with corporate standards and regulatory requirements.
- Travel: Heavy travel up front 75% in first year in order to get to know businesses
- Bachelors Degree Required / Masters preferred
- Manufacturing required
- 10 years of experience in IT leadership roles, with at least 5 years managing decentralized IT functions.
- Experience in a publicly traded company environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IT governance, cybersecurity, and compliance frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and deliver complex IT projects.
- Mid-sized company with some public company experience (currently had 2,000 employees total)
- CIO will set IT Guidelines; this VP will execute IT strategy within their business units. Need to be strong enough to tell their Group President if something they want doesn’t align with the set guidelines from Corporate IT.
- Must be technically savvy leaders who don’t take everything to the CIO but can make technical decisions, manage people, as well as technology and budgets.
