Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems.
- Create and maintain 3D CAD models, drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
- Support product testing, verification, and qualification activities.
- Participate in customer and internal design reviews.
- Analyze technical issues and recommend design improvements.
- Support manufacturing, quality, and business development teams with technical expertise.
- Assist with project scheduling, cost tracking, and status reporting.
- Provide sustaining engineering support for existing products.
- Support Design for Excellence (DFX) initiatives, including manufacturability, reliability, and cost optimization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 2–4 years of mechanical design or product development experience.
- Experience creating 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks, Autodesk, or similar CAD software.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment.
- Ability to travel occasionally as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing complex mechanical components or systems.
- Familiarity with product testing, validation, and qualification processes.
- Experience supporting products from concept through production.
- CAD software certification is a plus.
