We are seeking an experienced IBM MQ / IIB Systems Engineer to support enterprise messaging systems in a z/OS / zSeries environment.
Key Requirements
- Strong experience with IBM MQ / IIB design, integration, implementation, and administration
- Hands-on MQ systems programming in z/OS / zSeries
- Experience supporting multiple applications and performing upgrades, patching, and maintenance
- Deep knowledge of Queue Managers, queues, channels, clusters, and queue sharing groups
- Experience with load balancing, failover, and SYSPLEX environments
- Knowledge of RACF / ACF2 security
- Experience with z/OS and ISV software installation and support
- Familiarity with cloud, virtualization, APIs, and modern development tools
Technical Skills
Experience with one or more of:
Python, Java, Go, JCL, REXX, Perl, PHP, Jython, zOSMF Workflows, J2EE, JDBC, Servlets, Ansible
Preferred
- MQ tuning using SMF or reporting tools
- Agile / Lean experience
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills
