Functions of the Job :

Develop and manage the program budget annually, alerting CPO & CEO to any major changes in revenue or expenses and maximizing revenue streams efficiently.

Participate in public relations and fundraising efforts.

Design and develop new or improved service activities / programs.

Act as an effective liaison with other professional agencies through regular communication.

Supervise upper-level staff within relevant programs and oversee the supervision of remaining staff.

Provide regular management training to the next in line to ensure continuity when absent.

Provide individual, family, and group counseling / therapy, psychoeducational, and skills development services as applicable.

Regularly evaluate program outcomes formally and informally.

Oversee Quality Assurance of program activities, including service documentation.

Regularly evaluate training needs of program staff and facilitate needed training.

Participate in the Executive Leadership Team to coordinate services and assist in the creation and direction of long-term planning.

Oversee Risk Management and incident reporting at the relevant program level.

Oversee hiring, orientation, development, evaluation, and termination of staff members.

Facilitate regular staff meetings.

Appropriately diagnose mental health and substance-related conditions using the DSM IV TR.

Appropriately assess client needs using the American Society of Addiction Medicine Patient Placement Criteria.

Utilize the Therapeutic Community model as the main component of treatment.

Develop an effective level of rapport with clients on caseload while maintaining healthy boundaries.

Complete thorough and effective assessments, such as funding extension requests, in required timeframes.

Coordinate client psychiatric evaluations and other wrap-around services to provide effective care.

Complete treatment planning within the required timeframe.

Utilize motivational techniques to retain and support client progress.

Participate in extracurricular activities with clients.

Connect clients to community resources.

Complete service documentation within the appropriate client management system within 24 hours.

Accurately document services using ASAM Dimensional Analysis format, including all required elements.

Oversee all necessary clinical information flowing between programs and Billing Solutions to ensure insurance-funded clients are being billed correctly.

Proactively involve and communicate with collateral supports, including family, significant others, probation officers, judges, caseworkers, and others

Document all incidents immediately and report as required.

Complete accurate and thorough client reports, such as court reports, in required timeframes.

Attend monthly Salt Lake County Division of Behavioral Health Providers meeting, as assigned.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Licensure / Education / Prior Experience Required :

Licensed Mental Health Professional, including - LCSW, LPC, LMFT.

Must pass a Criminal Background check if working with vulnerable populations.

First Aid and CPR Certification.

Graduate degree in the mental health field.

Minimum five years experience in a related field.

Physical Demands of the Job : Ability to lift up to 15 lbs., drive (or adequate alternate transportation), sit for prolonged periods, and perform light to moderate physical activity at times.
