Position Summary
As a School-Based Therapist, you’ll provide direct mental health services year-round to middle and high school students and their families who are navigating behavioral, emotional, or substance use challenges.
You’ll also collaborate with school staff to promote mental wellness, provide consultation support, and help build healthier, more resilient school communities.
This is a Monday–Friday, full-time position during school hours, with two late-start days per week to accommodate family schedules.

Core Responsibilities
- Provide individual and family therapy, intake assessments, and crisis intervention as needed.
- Conduct mental health assessments, treatment planning, and maintain timely progress notes.
- Maintain communication with parents/guardians, school staff, and community partners.
- Participate in referral calls, school-based outreach and marketing events.
- Collaborate with Juvenile Court, DCFS, school counselors, and other agencies.
- Attend school and clinical team meetings regularly.
- Maintain strong professional relationships in both English and Spanish.
- Participate in professional development and trauma-informed care training.
- Be proactive, organized, and reliable with strong time management skills.
- Travel between schools and Odyssey House offices as needed.
- Current Utah license: CSWi, CSW, LCSW, ACMHC, CMHC, MFTi, AMFT, or LMFT
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) required
- Must pass a background check and be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Availability for 1–2 evenings per week to meet with families
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team
Starting Salary: $65,000–$75,000 annually
