Odyssey Health Care is looking to hire a part-time Physical Therapist Assistant to work at our surrounding schools - Pauls Valley, Wynnewood, Lindsay & Wayne.
The Physical Therapist Assistant shall provide treatment under the supervision of a license Physical Therapist. Therapy shall be provided on the basis of a written plan of care.
Responsibilities include:
*Treat patients per doctors orders and physical therapist written plan of care.
*Document patients information, functional status, treatment plans, progress, status, precautions, etc. according to procedures and in a timely manner.
*Collaborate with other staff, patient and family in the planning and provision of care.
*Record and report attendance, service provision, treatment and other documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
*Follow through with schedules and treatment plans.
*Follow company and service location policies and procedures.
*Maintain confidentiality of company, service location, and patient/family information.
*Maintain appropriate education and in-service.
*Perform other duties as directed by your immediate supervisor
*Must be able to function with minimal supervision.
*Demonstrate a consistent level of performance; strives to maintain a steady level of productivity.
*Address' clients, visitors, and co-workers in a pleasant and respectful manner; displays courtesy at all times.
*Recognize, establish, and deal with priorities promptly.
*Demonstrate enthusiasm and self-motivation in performing job duties
Licensure/Certification: Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the State of Oklahoma.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
1. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
2. Knowledge of appropriate therapy principles and practices.
3. Knowledge of therapy principles and practices specific to the geriatric population.
4. Basic knowledge of computers, copiers, calculators, and fax machines.
