Position Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Business Analyst to join our team. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can bridge the gap between stakeholders and technical teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities and demonstrate proficiency in writing user stories within Azure DevOps (ADO). The Business Analyst will gather, document, and effectively translate business requirements into technical specifications that drive development and operational efficiency.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Partner with the analytics and data teams to understand reporting needs and translate them into clear, actionable technical requirements.
- Collaborate closely with data developers to write user stories in ADO and perform testing upon delivery
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reports while advocating for efficient, scalable data processes.
- Manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
- Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams to bridge communication and expectations.
Education/Experience:
- 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within reporting, BI, or data-driven environments.
- Proven ability to gather, document, and translate business requirements into technical specifications for development teams.
- Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational databases.
- Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and validation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Experience working with large data sets.
In New York City, NY the pay range for this role is $100,000 - $110,000. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. This range is specific to New York City, NY and may not be applicable to other locations.
