How You Will Make a Difference
Therapists are responsible for providing individual and group therapy sessions for clients in a specialized intensive outpatient treatment setting. Position is responsible for assessing the therapeutic needs of the individuals and families, and for developing appropriate treatment plans. Program Therapists act as the primary contact for clients and families throughout the treatment process and serve as a client advocate with the treatment team. Position acts as a liaison with referral sources, clinical partners, and internal resources to coordinate care throughout the treatment process.
Position Responsibilities
Assists in identification of treatment/contract goals, completing the initial psychosocial assessment.
Responsible for maintaining contact with the assigned client’s referring/outpatient therapist during the course of the client’s stay and the family when/if appropriate.
Completes and updates treatment plan for assigned clients.
Assist in providing clinical updates to the insurance company’s Case Manager.
Meets with clients two to three times weekly, to help explore identified issues and behaviors in relationship to current symptoms.
Leads and participates in group meetings, meals and other activities in the milieu.
Provides comprehensive understanding of current behaviors and relational dynamics while using a variety of therapeutic modalities.
Attends the weekly team meetings and share observations, comments and important information about clients with the treatment team and provides input into the development of the weekly schedules for all of his/her assigned clients.
Responsible for proper charting and ensuring that all documentation is completed in an accurate and timely manner.
Assists in meal/snack supervision as assigned and attends special occasion activities for the clients.
Assists with discharge planning, including a written discharge summary and obtaining referral sources and necessary support systems once the client is discharged.
Preforms other activities and appropriate responsibilities as requested by the Clinical Director or Executive Director.
Additional Responsibilities
Functions within the guidelines of the facility’s Code of Ethics and in accordance with corporate compliance.
Provides a high level of customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Accomplishes organization mission by completing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
What We're Seeking
Position requires a master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy or psychology. Position requires a minimum of one (2) years’ experience in a behavioral healthcare setting, preferably with clients with mental health and substance use disorders, strongly preferred.
Doctoral level preferred (License not required)
Master's Level - Full licensure required (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LMHC)
Other Requirements
Position requires incumbent to have a valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance and acceptable driving record.

Leverage evidence-informed, clinically excellent treatment interventions.
Advocacy – advocates for the needs and interest of clients and families to promotes clinical excellence through improved outcomes, access to care, and service delivery. Participates in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing client outcomes and strengthening clinical service delivery.
Interdisciplinary and Interorganizational Collaboration – promotes cross functional collaboration among team members and referral partners to support and enhance clinical service delivery and support.
