Registered Nurse (RN)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall supervision of the Health & Wellness component..
- Demonstrates on-going commitment to preparing students for the workforce by modeling, mentoring and monitoring.
- Meeting the eight Career Success Standards.
- Supervise the Health & Wellness center services..
- Conduct Health & Wellness center assessments, plans and coordinates services and programs that respond to identified student’s needs.
- Provide Health and Wellness assessments and screening, nursing interventions, emergency care, education and referral services in conjunction with the Health & Wellness staff and Health subcontractors.
- Orders and maintains current dates pharmaceuticals and clinic supplies.
- Ensures that assigned staff perform monthly inventories of supplies to include expiration dates. Monitors and ensures the proper storage and condition of supplies and specimen.
- Reports diseases, abuse , etc. as mandated by state and county regulations.
- Follows proper protocol for infection control., hazardous waste, etc.
- Attends all required meetings.
- Trains staff as needed.
- Maintains accountability of safety practices in all areas of responsibility.
- Adheres to all policies, procedures according to Federal requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience:
- Three years of experience as a practicing nurse, (one year in a lead or supervisory capacity) (Required)
- Four or more years of related experience (Preferred)
License/Certification Requirements:
- RN License in the state of Florida
- Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record
Additional Requirements:
- Obtain/Maintain CPR/First Aid certification
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
