Description
Vascular Ultrasound Tech
PRN Position
Requires On-Call Rotation - 1 weekend per month
Job Summary
- Performs diagnostic procedures as directed by physicians
- Operates Vascular Sonography equipment as directed by physicians in accordance with vascular sonography quality assurance and quality control
- Maintains department records, reports, charts and files
- Perform Vascular Studies including but not limited to: Carotid Scans, Venous Scans, Abdominal Scans, Arterial Doppler's Graft/Stent Scans, and Ultrasound Guided Biopsies
- Prepares results to review with physicians
- Performs other related tasks as directed by supervisor
- Licensure in the State of Texas and ARDMS registry required
- Associate's degree or its equivalent and certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers required
- 2 years of experience in vascular sonography preferred
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
