Position Details:
- Shift: FT Nights
- Sign-On Bonus: up to $20,000 with a 24-month commitment
- 0 to 2 years of experience: $12,000 bonus
- 2 to 5 years of experience: $15,000 bonus
- Greater than 5 years of experience: $20,000 bonus
- Sign-On Bonus is based on verified years of relevant NICU experience. Additional eligibility requirements may apply.
Job Summary:
- Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care
- Assists physicians during examinations and procedures
- Triages patients
- Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse
- Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Performs a variety of tasks
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
- Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- NRP certification
- Suicide Prevention Certification
- PALS and COAP preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in NICU required
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
