Position Details
- Full-Time Days
- 12 hour shifts (7a-7p)
- Provides basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients within scope of practice.
- Addresses both psychosocial and physical needs of patients.
- Communicates effectively to meet patient needs.
- Demonstrates initiative and responsibility in patient care.
- Assists with patient admission, transfer, and discharge.
- Delivers age-appropriate care, considering patient condition.
- Alerts licensed personnel when patients report pain.
- Reports changes in patient status to RN.
- Explains procedures to patients and families; answers questions within scope.
- High School diploma or the equivalent.
- CNA licensure in the State of Texas.
- BLS required.
- Successful completion of certified nursing assistant program.
- Minimum 6 months to 1 year of related work experience preferred.
