General Summary
The Odessa College Groundskeeper maintains college grounds in a neat and orderly fashion by using power tools and equipment as needed.
Specific Position Duties
- Responsibilities include semi-skilled work in the care and culture of plants, hedges, grass and general grounds maintenance.
- Perform ground related work such as mowing grass, trimming shrubs, pruning trees, keeping grounds clean.
- Deliver, haul and move equipment and perform related duties.
- Exterior Window washing.
- Perform occasional tasks within the department as assigned by supervisor or director such as basic plumbing, HVAC, irrigation system repairs, painting, construction, basic mechanical work or assisting with general maintenance duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED. Ability to operate various vehicles and machinery including but not limited to forklift, backhoe, sweeper, push mower, riding mower, tractor, weed eater, edger and various hand tools; Acceptable driving record to allow operation of college motor vehicles; Ability to climb, balance, bend, kneel and crouch to gain access to plants; Near-vision acuity needed to operate tools and machinery.
