Job Summary:
The Elementary Teacher at Odessa Christian School plays a pivotal role in laying a strong academic and spiritual foundation for students. This educator is responsible for creating a Christ-centered, nurturing, and academically excellent classroom environment. The ideal candidate is a devoted follower of Christ, passionate about teaching young learners, and skilled at integrating biblical principles into daily instruction.

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree (completed)

• High degree of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality

Preferred:

• Valid Teaching Certificate ($3,000 salary increase with certification)
• Prior teaching experience

Essential Responsibilities

Curriculum and Instruction:

• Develop and implement age-appropriate, standards-aligned lessons infused with Christian values
• Use varied instructional methods to reach diverse learning styles
• Regularly assess student learning through formative and summative measures
• Adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs and abilities

Classroom Environment:

• Establish a loving, respectful, and structured classroom that promotes both academic and spiritual growth
• Implement classroom management strategies that align with Christian principles

Spiritual Leadership:

• Lead daily devotionals and prayer, integrating biblical truth throughout instruction
