Office Staff/Estimator
Job Summary
Office Staff/Estimators inspect vehicles and write estimates for customers, act as project managers for vehicle repairs, and coordinate incoming repair orders by working directly with customers and insurance companies.
- Full-time: Flexible hours up to 40 hours/week
- Non-exempt
- Supervisory duties: none
- Reports to: Shop manager/owner
Essential Job Duties
- Request dis-assembly of vehicle in order to assess damage to prepare a full estimate
- Ensure all needed repairs identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time
- Understand/willing to learn processes to ensure accurate repair procedures
- Produce repair orders for technicians
- Produce vehicle repair cost and time estimates for customers
- Communicate frequently with technicians, insurance companies/adjustors, and parts dealers to ensure timely completion of work
- Follow up with customers on the status of their vehicle and answer questions as needed
- Manage multiple vehicle projects simultaneously
- Ensure that all administrative processes are handled in a timely fashion and in compliance with company policies
- Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles to check for compliance with safety and quality standards
- Clean and prepare vehicles for customer return; review each vehicle with customer to ensure satisfaction
- Comply with all safety rules, guidelines and standards
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Skill/Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have an active and effective Driver’s License
- Ability to effectively communicate with others
- Ability to read and understand instructions
- Multi-tasking; adapts easily to fast-paced environment
- Personable, friendly demeanor with an awesome customer service approach to internal and external customers
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
Position is based in a normal shop environment. Occasional physical activity such as reaching below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, squatting and stooping to inspect repairs, and lifting and carrying objects over 50lbs. Exposure to fumes, chemicals, dust, along with high levels of noise. Subject to weather conditions both inside and outside. Required to wear protective equipment when necessary.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
