Overview
Oddello Industries is seeking a Night Shift Supervisor to oversee a small team of production workers during overnight hours (5:00pm – 3:30am). This is a hybrid leadership and working role: the supervisor is responsible for shift safety, task delegation, and production targets, while also stepping in to operate forklifts as needed to stage materials, or keep the production line supplied.
Core Responsibilities
- Small Team Leadership: Assign overnight tasks, monitor individual performance, and keep a small crew motivated. Provide overall guidance in certain scenarios, such as contingencies for machine downtime. Handle minor personnel issues.
- On-Demand Forklift Operation: Safely operate forklifts on an as-needed basis to move materials, clear the docks, or assist the team during peak times.
- Workflow Optimization: Monitor the production floor to eliminate bottlenecks, ensuring raw materials are staged correctly for the workers.
- Machinery Maintenance: Serve as the on-site authority to handle equipment troubleshooting and maintenance issues. Perform routine maintenance, as needed.
- Morning Handover: Document overnight production metrics and ensure the floor is clean and staged for the incoming day shift.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Experience: 2 years in a production or warehouse environment with demonstrated informal or formal leadership experience.
· Adaptability: Comfort switching quickly between administrative supervisory tasks and physical material handling.
· Communication: Strong verbal skills to direct a tight-knit team and clear written skills for shift-end reports.
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
