Overview
Oddello Industries is expanding our Pallet Building operations. We are seeking a skilled and reliable Night Shift Maintenance Technician to oversee the mechanical upkeep of our manufacturing facility. Hours are 5:00pm - 3:30am. In this role, you will diagnose equipment failures, perform preventative maintenance routines, and handle repairs to support continuous production operations. Because the night shift operates with a lean crew, you will be the sole expert responsible for rapid mechanical troubleshooting, diagnostics, and contingencies for machine down-time to keep production humming.
Duties
- Equipment Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot typical maintenance issues with production machinery.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform periodic maintenance on a variety of plant machinery and equipment.
- Emergency Repairs: Dismantle defective machinery, replace worn components, and test systems to safely resume production.
- Facility Upkeep: Handle routine building maintenance tasks including basic plumbing, wiring adjustments, and lighting fixes.
- Fork Lift Operation: Delivery of raw materials for production to workstations and relocation of finished products to storage areas.
- Supervision: Oversee a small group (less than 10) of production employees. Provide overall guidance in certain scenarios, such as contingencies for machine down-time.
Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, mechanical blueprints, and technical equipment manuals.
- System Expertise: Hands-on familiarity with PLCs, conveyor systems, motors, pumps, and automated factory equipment.
- Fabrication & Welding: Utilize torches, MIG/TIG welders, and workshop tools to modify or repair machinery.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended shifts.
- Analytical Thinking: Sharp diagnostic capabilities to identify root causes of structural or mechanical failure.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate degree or trade school certification is highly preferred.
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
