What are the responsibilities and job description for the Influencer & Community Intern position at Oddball?
NYC SUMMER OPPORTUNITY: INFLUENCER & COMMUNITY INTERN
About Oddball: Oddball is reimagining fruit snacking for the next generation - real ingredients, no compromise, and a whole lot of fun. Our first product is a spoonable fruit snack with a jiggly, nostalgic texture made from real fruit juices and purees, free from artificial ingredients, and now in 1,500 Target stores nationwide. We're a small, fast-moving team building something big - and we're looking for someone who wants to be part of it
The Role: This isn't a coffee-and-spreadsheets internship. You'll be in the field putting product into people's hands, building the influencer program from the ground up, and helping us figure out how a brand actually breaks through. You'll report directly to the Head of Brand & Commercial Strategy - meaning your work goes straight to decision-makers, and your impact is real!
What You'll Actually Be Working On: You'll own three things this summer.
- Influencer & Gifting - We're building our influencer and gifting program from scratch. You'll build the list, own the outreach, and execute end-to-end
- Community Building - Develop grassroots initiatives that turn first-time buyers into repeat purchasers and advocates. Word of mouth is one of our sharpest tools and we need help wielding it
- Sampling - You'll run events in NYC and the tri-state area yourself, and recruit and manage three Brand Ambassadors executing in other cities. We've been piloting sampling and it's working. Now we need help scaling
You're Probably A Fit If:
- You're outgoing and energized by real human connection
- You can talk to a stranger at a farmers market and build a tracker to follow up
- You're organized enough to manage a gifting program and a small team of ambassadors at the same time
- You're strategic, scrappy, and take ownership - you build things and see them through
- You'll be located in NYC this summer and able to be in the field on weekends when needed
- You have genuine enthusiasm for brand building, CPG, and Food & Bev
Why This Over Other Internships: You won't be watching from the sidelines. You'll build programs that didn't exist before you arrived, manage people, and see your work on shelves and in feeds! If you want hands-on startup experience that actually means something, reach out to caroline@oddball.world with the subject line: Influencer & Community Intern. Include a resume and cover letter! LinkedIn applications alone won't be considered.
