The Director of Warehouse Operations is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, distribution, and logistics. This role includes being a hands-on leader with strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, committed to efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and develop warehouse and logistics teams across one or multiple facilities.
- Ensure efficient, accurate, and timely inbound and outbound logistics.
- Oversee inventory control, storage, and handling processes to maintain accuracy and minimize loss.
- Implement and monitor warehouse KPIs to track performance, productivity, and efficiency.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
- Manage warehouse budget, including labor, equipment, and supplies.
- Partners with other departments (e.g., procurement, transportation, customer service) to ensure alignment of inventory and delivery schedules.
- Evaluate and implement warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in layout, process, and employee development.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, DOT, etc.).
- Other duties assigned:
- Assist with warehouse tasks and other duties as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the shipping department.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (MBA a plus) or equivalent experience
- 8 years of progressive experience in warehouse or logistics management, including 3 years in a director-level role.
- Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred
- Experience with automation and robotics in warehouse environments, preferred
- Familiarity with international logistics and import/export regulations, preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) and stand or move for long periods.
- Typically, it works indoors in a warehouse setting.
- The role requires physical labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Required to climb a ladder upwards 12 feet.
- Long periods of standing.
- Warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Full-time, office-based role with occasional travel to various sites or facilities.
