What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse position at ODA Community Developme?
Working alongside our providers, the Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of nursing care to our clients. ODA believes that qualified nurses are advocates and health educators for patients, families and our community.
Duties and Responsibilities:.
Reviews patient chart to determine what preventive or maintenance care is required and assists provider in the provision of care
Utilize standing orders
Reviews patient specific CDSS alerts and advises providers of evaluations due.
Documents patient visits including medical history, surgical history, current medications, assessment, treatment and plan as specified by the provider
Performs prescribed procedures within scope of RN practice
Prepares and administers immunizations, medications and treatments as prescribed by physician
Under the direction of the provider, reviews lab work, diagnostic imaging and referrals and coordinates follow up care, as prescribed.
Serves as a patient advocate
Offers patient education, as recommended by the physician
Performs other duties as assigned by the CMO or designee
Qualifications:
A current New York State RN license
1-3 years of clinical experience
Experience in Pediatrics and Internal Medicine
Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university
