AI Research Scientist, Robotics (Reality Labs Research)

We are looking for a Research Scientist with expertise in AI for robotics to join our team within Reality Labs Research. You will work on advancing the state of the art for robot foundation models to develop robust autonomous robot policies for dexterous manipulation. You will work with a broad and highly interdisciplinary team of researchers, engineers, and designers, and will have access to cutting edge technology, resources, and testing facilities.

AI Research Scientist, Robotics (Reality Labs Research) Responsibilities:

• Develop machine learning and computer vision models for robotics to advance the state-of-the-art in robotics research
• Design and implement ML pipelines to train robot policies
• Develop experimental protocols for human/robot data collection and robot policy evaluation and analyze results
  
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta
• Ph.D. in Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Computer science, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 3 years experience in advanced AI techniques for robotics applications, such as VLAs, imitation learning, and/or cross-embodiment transfer learning
• 3 years experience in deploying and evaluating robot policies
• 3 years experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow) and programming in Python
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Track record of research output with work published in top conferences and journals such as Robotics (RSS, ICRA, IROS, CoRL, T-RO, IJRR), Machine Learning (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AAAI, JMLR), and Computer Vision (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, TPAMI)
• Experience working and communicating cross-functionally to collaborate across disciplines and organizations
