Lead Mitigation Technician

Job Description:

Octopus Project Management is seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Mitigation Technician to join our growing team. This role is responsible for leading mitigation crews, assessing water damage, implementing restoration procedures, and ensuring exceptional customer service throughout the mitigation process. The ideal candidate will have hands-on water restoration experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Responsibilities:

• Lead mitigation crews to efficiently and safely complete assigned work tasks.
• Inspect commercial and residential properties for water damage and determine the appropriate mitigation strategy.
• Set up and monitor drying equipment to ensure proper moisture removal and restoration.
• Remove and dispose of affected materials when deemed unsalvageable.
• Communicate with clients regarding the extent of damage, mitigation efforts performed, and next steps in the restoration process.
• Coordinate with internal teams regarding repair requirements and damage assessments.
• Maintain accurate documentation, photographs, moisture readings, and job records.
• Travel to project sites throughout the surrounding service areas as needed.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company standards and industry best practices.
• Communicate professionally with clients, residents, subcontractors, and colleagues

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Water Mitigation Technician preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of water restoration experience required.
• WRT (Water Restoration Technician) Certification preferred.
• Proven ability to lead and supervise crews in the field.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to meet on time at job sites throughout the greater metro area.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
